The city of Amsterdam Holland is one of the major tourist spots in Europe. It is widely known all over the world for its beautiful concentric canals that earned this place the title, "Venice of the North." It is also very popular for its tolerant stance on the use of soft drugs and prostitution. Apart from the two above-mentioned reasons, Amsterdam Holland offers several attractions as well as cultural and historic sites that would surely delight all its visitors.

This is the largest science center in Holland and gives its visitors an entertaining way to get to know to the world of science and technology. Another destination that is hugely popular to domestic and international tourists is The Van Gogh Museum. This museum, as it is aptly called, is built to honor Van Gogh, a world-famous 19th century painter. Not all of his paintings can be seen here but still it showcases many of his famous works. A weird but interesting Amsterdam Holland attraction is the Katten Kabinet which is a cat museum. This establishment displays many cat-related art works and real felines, as well. The Allard Pierson Museum is also worth visiting as it showcases discoveries like art-objects and utensils that have been used by ancient civilizations like Egypt, Greek and the Roman Empire. This archaeological museum of the University of Amsterdam gives its visitor a glimpse of how life was like hundred of years ago.
